Very poor management. Especially from the Owner and the GM. They do not care about employees at all. Everyone is disposable. If you are a Manager/Supervisor, your professional opinion won’t mean ANYTHING. They won’t listen or allow you to manage your department how you see fit at all. You will have BIG problem employees and you WONT be allowed to discipline them or fire them if they are a favorite of upper-management or considered valuable; so you and your employees will suffer because of it while those employees do whatever they want and walk all over everyone. There’s definitely a “do as I say and not as I do” mentality there. You will be surrounded by hypocrites and people who blatantly flaunt that they don’t have to follow the same rules as you. The employee handbook is basically pointless. The gossip there is WAY more than what you find in a normal work place. It creates an extremely toxic and uncomfortable environment. Upper-management act like you should be lucky to get to work there and lucky that you even get two 10 minute breaks. They will watch you on the cameras to make sure you do not take an extra break(unless you’re a favorite, then they don’t care). If you have a private office, be wary that they don’t have a secret camera installed in there. The Owner likes to blow up on the employees and talk to them like they are the worth less than the dirt on the bottom of his shoes.
