Pros

9am to 5pm (friday finish at 3pm), only 9 people work here, small asset management even though it is a bank

Cons

top heavy (all expats), no career progression due to one manager who controls everything, lack of communication between each levels, lack of benefits, even fraud happens here and nobody cares, favouritism happens, race discrimination also, lack of appreciation by senior management, annual wage increase of around 2%, a lot of ad hoc duties

Pros

Being a government bank, employees are rarely fired. Work-life balance is better compared to commercial / investment banks. People are generally nice and well-mannered.

Cons

Employees are shuffled every three years and sent to different departments/branches, so it is very difficult to become a specialist in a given field.
