Pros

They require no experience, and will hire literally anyone they can, so if you want a foot in the industry, go for it. The people who work there are also really nice and friendly

Cons

Where do I start. The people who run the company will trick you into a false sense of security through gestures of good will to make it seem like they care about you to ensure you put in effort to find bugs etc. But when push comes to shove a there's not many hours, they wont get you in. They will make false promises of "Rotating people in" - Bull**** . Same names, different week. They put no effort into their employees. I asked time and time again for months to be trained in CQA in hopes of it helping out with hours. Nope, it was either "We're too busy, we need people to find bugs" or "We're too quiet, no point doing it you'll forget by the next time you're in". They didn't even train new starters properly, a select few got a day of training, the rest, if they found over 8 bugs in the interview, they were just thrown in and expected to do everything right. There was many instances where the boss and his wife would walk around the office telling people to put good reviews up for them due to people saying reviews similar to mine, so don't believe all the amazing ones you see. There was an instance where a certain person said disrespectful remarks about how a scalf around someone's face made them look like a certain group of people. I wont go into specifics. but it just shows the type of people you're working for. It's a strange dynamic, because the people that run the place put on such a good show, telling you about how they came here to help people get into the industry, buying donuts and beer for the office every week and putting on football on wednesdays, but that's all it is. A show. they will put no effort into you unless you've been there years, wont train you, wont give you shifts if there aren't many games in, and will pay you a fraction of what people in that industry usually earn.

Pros

A tight knit group of people who all support eachother and genuinely care for eachother. One of the only opportunities in the gaming industry to get your foot in the door with absolutely no experience. Opportunities to progress within the business or move outside of it if you wish as well as PAID training given that will help you further your career. If you work hard it gets noticed, management will applaud you and will always try and get you as much work as possible if you show you are a hard worker and can follow basic instructions. It’s one of the most relaxed work places I’ve ever worked in regards to so many aspects and all management ask for in return is to do your best.

Cons

Zero hour contract but every single person is made aware of this when applying and it is completely transparent. If you don’t want the lack of security, simply don’t apply.

Pros

Rewarding work, friendly and supportive employees, generally laid back atmosphere. If you enjoy games and are willing to put in the effort to find bugs you will both make friends and enjoy your work here. There are also some things have changed since other reviews were left. The office has changed premises to a building with a courtyard where employees can take breaks and has a kitchen which is open to everyone. There is no parking immediately next to the office but there are a number of cheap car parks within a 5 minute walking distance. Yes, the majority of workers are white and male. That's not surprising given the job. However, the workplace is friendly to LGBT and racial diversity.

Cons

Zero hours contract, so sometimes there are periods where work is scarce. It can take some time before you are able to prove yourself as a good tester. However, if you are able to do so you will find yourself in consistently, unless there aren't many projects in. Things can get cramped on lunch breaks as space where people can use their phones or other devices is limited. Sometimes the boss gives you a dressing down and can say things which sound out of touch.
