Pros

I’ve been working at L Marks around 2 years and have been at multiple companies in my career before this. The work L Marks does is incredibly interesting, forward-thinking and impactful. The clients L Marks work with are often global and so there is also the opportunity to travel on occasion. The team is incredible and i’ve never worked in a place with more of a family, supportive atmosphere where there is always help available, you just need to ask for it. There is an ethos around learning and upskilling yourself professionally so always the opportunity and encouragement to cross collaborate with other teams within the business. You have the ability to carve your own role and path within the company if you take the initiative to. Having worked at places which demand 12 hour days, the work life balance is also brilliant at L Marks - you always have evenings and a weekend! From my experience, management have been great at giving me the trust to work on delivering projects and not micromanaging at all.

Cons

As with any small, growing business, the opportunity for long term career development and a path is often not incredibly clear so it is in the employees hands to shape.

Pros

Team members I was pleasantly surprised by the capabilities of the team when I joined. Everyone is so different with their own skill sets there’s always something you can learn from each. In addition to that they are all awesome people. The culture and vibe is so relaxed and fun and that goes all the way up the company. Every new hire has somehow managed to raise the bar as well! Autonomy Always super important for me, you never want to feel that you are just turning the wheel of someone else’s processes. The nature of the work lends itself to being able to put your own stamp on whatever you are working on. In addition the transparency and openness means you get to use you ideas to help the company develop. Employee wellbeing The reason I left my last job was a lack of care for the employees well being. L Marks always make sure to put the employee first, whether that’s being flexible when they need it or even making a point to make sure people don’t work too long or too hard. There’s dedicated space to always thinking about how we can help provide whatever people need Overall Mostly it’s just fun. There’s a nice big picture that you’re working towards and you get to do interesting stuff with cool people and cool companies. But beyond that the people are great and the work/life balance is great and it’s a lot of fun a lot of the time

Cons

L Marks has been growing a lot and that doesn't come without growing pains. They're currently at a slightly awkward stage where the structure on the teams can be slightly unbalanced with a lot of direct reports into single points, but I know they are currently looking at it.

Pros

I have been working at L Marks for the past couple of years and it has been great for my career so far. It gave me so many opportunities to network with big corporates globally and I got to meet the most disruptive startups and work with them. Everyone at the office treats you like family and they often organise social events after work which are really fun. L Marks gave me all the tools to grow professionally and I'm happy to say I can call my manager a mentor. It also provides employees with training and external courses to develop your knowledge and skills. Travel opportunity is great as there are offices in the US too.

Cons

It's a small company so you might do things outside your job description!
