      A Great Place To Work

      Pros

      This company has been recognized as a Great Place to Work in Canada for each of the years 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. In 2012, it was also recognized as the number 1 place to work for women in all of Canada. These accolades are deserved. It is without doubt the best place I have worked at in my whole career. Management is open, honest and communicate well. They truly care about making every employee's workplace experience an exceptional one. At the same time, the company is keyed in on excellence and making money, so the company is very stable.

      Pros

      Benefits are excellent, the pension plan is great, mat leave top up for a few months, celebrations of life events, long weekend BBQ’s, fresh fruit in the kitchens, nice office space that is continuously being updated to look more modern. There’s a real push on healthy living and fostering a safe work environment. Work/life balance is respected depending on your manager and I have only had good experiences in this area.

      Cons

      Nepotism, favourtism, lots of politics, double standards for who you know and not always what you know. Individuals are often pigeon holed and not given room for growth, especially in less desirable and harder to fill positions. Lack of professionalism and confidentiality among upper management which is disappointing. Times are changing with the new acquisition and hopefully it will put an end to many of the “cons”.

      Like to look within first when a new position is open Still privately owned Quickly growing and expanding creating lots of opportunity for advancement Very interested in maintaining an optimal work environment

      Cons

      If you are not a self-driven high achiever you may not fit in too well With all the growth there can be an issue with stability of support staff as the turnover is very high
