Pros
It's a great company to build experience in the digital world straight out of college or if you're interested in a career change and need a place to start. The company is made up of hard working employees who make the job pretty enjoyable. If you start at the company understanding that this is a stepping stone job then you will succeed and do well. The client load is huge and often times extremely stressful, but what's great is you can spin that as a positive when interviewing at other companies. Overall, it's easy to build a starter career at L2T, but you have to understand what you're getting yourself into. Oh, there's also good snacks. Some people think it's okay to wear yoga pants and sweatshirts to work and HR doesn't seem to mind so if that's your go-to fashion then you'll enjoy the laidback office policies.
Cons
The work is mundane and a lot of the work the company does is outdated and inefficient. Both PPC and SEO at the company are using old practices for the clients. This is most likely because the company prefers to hire recent grads with no experience rather than hire people with experience to help build these products out. There would perhaps be opportunities for employees with little experience to help build out the product more, but unfortunately they are bogged down with incredibly boring work for 50-100 clients. Be careful about getting stuck at the company too long because a senior specialist, supervisor, or even manager title at L2T still might only get you an entry level position at another company. Salary and the benefits are a major drawback. The way the company does promotions is not well considered. There is no rhyme or reason. Depending on the team, specialists have been promoted in 4-6 months while other employees languish for over a year without any sort of recognition. On top of this, sometimes recent grads hires with no experience make more than other employees who had experience. Now, L2T is creating different levels (Associate, Senior Associate) in the company to make it seem like there is opportunity to grow, but it's really a way for them to hire recent grads for even less money and make it seem like there's movement in the company. You will for sure be underpaid at this company no matter how they try and spin it to you. Just remember when you leave you will be making exponentially more and you will appreciate a higher salary more. Perspective is key when you're at L2T. L2T polices their employees hours like it's high school. It is so pathetic when probably 85% of your employees can't wait to take their lunch break because they're so bored and want to get away from their desk. Then those same 85% of employees can't wait until it's 5pm to rush out of there. No one enjoys working extra time there, except for about 15% of the employees, because it is painful to put in extra effort with such boring work and forced hours. You always have to make up your time and don't worry someone will get on you about making up the time if they think you didn't. Even if it's 10 minutes. In summary, it's a bare bones kind of company that has the facade of a fun startup.
