Pros

Thoroughly enjoyed working with small town police depts and the local businesses, attempting to get their financial support for department's anti-drug/violence program by means of placing an ad in publications.

Cons

I felt I was a perfect match for the position. 'Managers' (2 girls for the entire country) would set up initial appointment with local Police Chief in specific area, I would meet with him, explain program, and go to local businesses for one week, sharing with them a letter from the Chief. Very first town, drove 2 1/2 hrs, ontime for appointment yet no Chief. Turns out he wasn't aware of my coming. Spent night there, then had to drive back home next morning as contact could not be made with Chief. Assigned another town next day. That Chief did not know I was coming. Discussed program, etc., started calling on businesses. Every town I went into, I covered literary every business and generated several thousand dollars of advertising. In 3 months, I had 5 Police Depts that either did not know about program or didn't want anything to do with it. All travel/expenses on me. Last straw--set up with 2 small, small towns in WV. One new Chief no one liked--the other town was in process of being annexed by another larger town. After thoroughly covering both towns in 2 weeks, 'Managers' insisted I keep going back until I hit their target number. Six weeks later we parted ways.

Pros

This company is taking advantage of what is a TRUE EPIDEMIC in our society with no education and no.."no how" to implement it! I'm sure they will be on a DATELINE SOON!

Cons

When you see something wrong you say something! Creative Safety is better for anyone in the Ohio Indiana penn.... They don't lie to you and your close to home!

I would like to respond to anyone who might have had a less than positive experience with the company, even if their experience was prior to my joining the company in March 2018. While it’s clear, from this 2016 review, this person was dissatisfied, I’m unclear on what the specific issues are beyond “Communication!” With that in mind, I can say I wholeheartedly agree that communication is critical to a successful organization. To that end, we have reorganized the entire company from the ground up, revamped the communications platform for the home office, and begun regular messaging from me directly to the sales team every week. We are currently working on rolling out a new communications platform to national sales team and continually working on improving in this area. With respect to taking advantage of an epidemic, I will simply state that one of the primary reasons I took the role of leading LAW Publications was the nature of the work we do. Our mission remains to help public service sectors educate communities on issues of grave importance. I am proud of the work we do and I expect everyone on our team is as well.

Pros

You could earn decent income BUT the M-F travel is a brutal grind, and the product is becoming very dated. Less people are actually reading publications to get their information and more are relying on other channels ,specifically the internet

Cons

Run by 2 "sales managers" that wouldn't know how to give the product away let alone SELL it. Totally clueless without any critical thinking ability. They must be family because there is no other reason why they have not been booted out.

As of the second quarter of 2018, we have begun making changes to the company from a new CEO on down. This has included the rebuilding of a sales team, which I am personally leading, and ensuring all sales management roles are experienced and effective. We have also begun revamping products, releasing new ones, and we are developing supplements to address the very concerns you mentioned about digital evolution. Feedback from our team, our clients, and our sponsors is always helpful, though it’s unfortunate you had this experience.
