Not what it used to be

Pros

- back office staff are always there to help you out when needed - some nice senior colleagues who will offer help and guidance

Cons

Boys club mentality - definite favouritism towards men in the business even when not performing. A lot of sexist/racist comments throughout the business (including top management) and no HR to report it to. Lack of diversity in the business Lack of career progression structure - requirements for promotions changed per team/division

I do not condone any kind of sexist or racist behavior and if I had witnessed it, I would have taken immediate action. In response to your comments about career progression, we have a clearly communicated career development plan with transparent criteria around promotion requirements. You would have been in receipt of this.

Bad times outweigh the good

Pros

- Good location in the city and suitable for most people - A lot of good colleagues who are very welcoming and sociable. - Some great senior members who will help drive your development when line managers don't - Solid support from the back office at ALL times.

Cons

- The benefit package has something removed off it every other month and you probably won't be informed about it. Free toast seems to be a fairly consistent reward though. - Heads of Business struggle to remove their egos/emotions out of important decision making which only leaves employees feeling uncomfortable and lacking faith in their leadership. - Inappropriate comments in the office were evident from my first day. Flippant comments were even made directly by the MD to multiple individuals on cultural backgrounds. This is usually brushed off by saying "it's something I've always said" - High levels of turnover and existing members are completely fed up. General atmosphere was at an all time low

Pros

The boss only look out to you if you are top biller The management level are filled with ‘behind’ kissers. Refer to point 2 if you are a extreme ‘behind’- kisser, will bring you to a very far destination in this company.

Cons

The managers take your efforts to be part of their credit and ascertain that it’s gonna come from your commission. Telling you that they have very good resources but actually they have nothing. They say they have many PSLs with many places but only work with less than half of them.
