Pros

No nights and weekends. Working with the kids is very rewarding. It's a nice facility with a gym, dramatic playroom, art room and library.

Cons

Ladybird of Windermere is truly an awful environment to work in and it's due to the way their corporate operates. This corporate center's turnover rate is very high and not only for staff, but management as well. In a year and a half they have had 4 Directors and 3 Assistant Directors. None of the recent management have been properly trained due to usually being short staffed. That trickles down to the staff not being trained. The staff is overworked and under-trained. Payroll was messed up COUNTLESS times for multiple people. It wouldn't be fixed for weeks and you were lucky if that was correct. If you asked for direct deposit, it took months to activate and it would occasionally stop and you would have to re-do it. One Christmas the company decided they would just repeat the payroll from the last pay period instead of taking the time to pay people (hourly staff) what they actually worked. Just very unheard of. They would also hold three hour mandatory meetings on Saturdays UNPAID, but mandatory??? The center never has enough supplies we have gone months without any construction paper more than once. There is a monthly supply list, but the supplies came weeks after they were originally needed. In my opinion corporate and management runs and thrives off power-trips. You will not last long in management if you are not willing to be nasty to people for no reason. Sometimes it appears the company is looking for people who look a certain way and look for reasons to put you down as well as the work you have done. It is very clear the company does not value or care about their employees at all. I cannot think of one time that anyone was commended or complemented for anything. They do nothing to build team moral or encourage growth. I would not recommend for anyone to work for this company. Do not waste your time and energy. Find a place you will be valued. Find a place you will be proud to work for and find a place that cares about your prosperity. This isn't it.

Pros

Mostly cool coworkers, almost always get a lunch break.

Cons

Never a consistent schedule, keeps some employees who are reported to not work well with kids just so they dont have to find a replacement, doesnt keep promises of moving up and career growth, corporate took the human out of the directors, favoritism, unable to use common sense when youre injured.
