    I worked at Land O'Lakes full-time

    Pros

Pay and benefits are well above the local average.
Nice, brand new building to work at (if you are at corp HQ)

    Cons

Falling over itself to be hip, happening, and WOW to lure millennials.
Forgetting the bedrock was built by farmers who worked in the dirt, milked cows at 4am, and people working in dirty, dangerous feed mills and dairy plants.
    Very little promotion from within.
10 years 'behind' the curve and now trying to offshore IT -- when everyone else is reversing that.
A culture of 'consensus' where every decision has to be ruminated before being executed, combined with a culture of zero accountability where even people who make egregious, expensive mistakes still receive variable comp and praise.

    Advice to Management

Go spend some time on a dairy farm or in a feed mill. Then go back and contemplate your multi million dollar HQ expansion.

I worked at Land O'Lakes full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are no pros to working for this company.

    Cons

The management only cares about money. Executive leadership is on a mission to reduce costs at all costs. There is absolutely no communication down the chain. Work is silo'd to the extreme to the point of constant bickering between groups. Management routinely lies to employees. Inefficiencies are everywhere and they are accepted. Case in point; they do not keep stock of spare equipment. Everything must be ordered. If a users computer dies, too bad. It is not uncommon to wait a week or two before receiving a replacement. Company acquisitions and mergers are shotgunned with little to no planning involved.

I have been working at Land O'Lakes full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, nice people, some energy around a forward looking/innovative culture, great CEO, new and updated offices with new amenities such as an onsite gym, childcare center and wellness center

    Cons

Slow to move in progressive change, currently in a budget conscious and cost cutting mindset, some teams can be cliquey/difficult to get into, doesn't always communicate or roll out changes in the most effective or smooth manner, takes a long time to move to internal positions- not always clear pathways for growth.

    Advice to Management

Need to keep consistancy with managers. Every year the focus is shifted and projects unfinished. Nothing is really accomplished.
