I didn't see a single Sales Associate making even close to the advertised $3000/month average, the best of the team might come close on a good month. The management frequently/blatantly lies about at what point of the sale you receive commission...HINT: expect a lot of the deals you hear about people getting to never actually be paid for. Unless you make a certain number of sales, your first week of training is unpaid (almost 90% of people who make it past the second interview dont make it that far)....youll notice most of the people you train with disappear after the first field day (their the smart ones). You will be promised minimal door knocking, and lots of lucrative events, but you will almost always be door knocking. During training, you will be put in territories known to make money, so you can see money can be made, but this changes quickly post training. Thanks to mandatory pep talks in the morning, during lunch, and after work hours, the promise of 8 hour days, quickly converts to nearly 10 hour days without a real lunch break...you cannot make money during these meetings. Management will always highlight the one, two, or three people of the sales team who had an amazing day, and highlight how much they made in a short period of time, but will ignore that this amazing day happened after a long string of days where that same rep made less than minimum wage, or nothing at all. There will be constant talk of promotions, but the only benefit is an increase in responsibility and a very minor increase in commission. Out of my team, there were some fantastic sales people, and they worked so hard, they had some amazing days, but if I were to take their overall commission they actually received (after a large portion of their deals disappeared without commission) and divided it by the hours actually worked, the absolute best of them was maybe making $12-$15/hr over the month, where with the same effort and talent in a normal sales position that same person would be making $30/hr easy. The majority of people who stay after training will quit after spending two weeks making $45-$200. I would say 98% of the people who are looking at this job would make much more hourly working at Starbucks. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND DONT EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY....run far far away...if you are already in and selling...take an honest look at what you are making, not in the one or two good days a week, but overall...remember, a starbucks barista makes $80/day EVERY DAY!!! and gets paid for every working hour!
