Pros

there's an incentive to return to the office but it's at the cost of your ment@l health

Cons

Over the years, league which was a once glorious startup with bright prospects has slowly become a safe haven for toxic rejects from other companies, who have formed a paycheck protection alliance used to bully out any competition or person who dares to speak up or have a different opinion. This toxic culture has driven away some very smart people and left behind people that are very good at office politics but can no longer compete in today's job market. I have never seen a company with so much disgruntled insiders, and this continued practice if left unchecked can be very risky for business.

Pros

It's a job, that's all I can say

Cons

Too many layoffs have caused a high level of burnout among the survivors. The culture is very toxic and this place makes you appreciate your previous employers. My mentor told me to always have an exit plan and that's the same advice I have for anyone feeling the hostility here.

Pros

the idea of having townhalls means well but has turned out to be a time-wasting recurring event

Cons

There is nothing like constructive criticism here, any sentiment that doesn't resonate with the bigger agenda instantly makes you a target for termination. Management has a "them vs us" mentality, leaving most of the employees on the edge and in fight-or-flight mode if you are not within the inner circles. From the reviews here, you can see an alarming number of disgruntled employees at any given time in the company's history and that is quite concerning, especially for clients and prospective business. Either the hiring system is broken or League has created a safe space for toxicity to thrive. I would think the former because which quality candidate would want to work here when they see the reviews?! Its easy to blame an employee or two at a point in time for your loss, but to be relentlessly fighting employees all the time confirms a dysfunctional workplace and leadership hates to admit this.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your feelings regarding our culture. Providing feedback, including constructive criticism, is a core part of how we work at League. Sharing feedback and being open to it is how we as individuals and teams improve, innovate and get better. We encourage this healthy discourse through many mechanisms including public slack channels and regular company-wide and team townhalls where employees are able to share feedback with leaders anonymously and non-anonymously. We don’t tolerate retaliation and would encourage you to reach out to your HR Business Partner if you’ve witnessed or experienced this so it can be investigated. In regards to our bi-annual employee engagement survey, we can assure that data is anonymized and aggregated before sharing so individual responses cannot be identified. We understand preserving anonymity and trust is of the utmost importance in getting accurate results and soliciting honest feedback from employees. If you have any additional questions or suggestions for improvement, please reach out to your HR Business Partner or the team at people@league.com and we’d be happy to discuss.
