Old fashioned, burocratic and not foreign-friendly
Pros
- Manager upon hearing about my neurodiversity (ADHD) accepted my request for more home office. - In that regard, there was at least some semblance of work-life-balance
Cons
- Too much disconnect between teams and colleagues. - Very burocratic and old fashioned ways of operating (had to document hours digitally AND have those printed and signed as a physical copy by the end of each month) - Employees were made to plan their vacations well in advance - Too many hierarchy layers. Managers often put pressure on employees ("Do it my way, or else") - Not much diversity and inclusion (to my knowledge I was one of the few foreign professionals in my line of work, IT) - All the good people left or have been fired - Central office was in St. Pölten and employees from Vienna had to commute there (takes 1,5 hours by public transportation to reach the office) - Central office in St. Pölten equipped with old and dusty furniture and was open floor - Equipment given were old (Dell laptops) and very restrictive. You always needed technical support to get permission and install even the tiniest of softwares. - All-in contracts & Kernzeiten
