Pros

Other staff are friendly since your all on the same sinking ship.

Cons

Terrible Management If you enjoy never being paid on time then this is the place for you or never being paid the right amount HR is a joke and refuse to pay you the right amount so you could be left waiting months to get what your owed from them. The Owner refuses to pay above minimum wage this is especially frustrating for lifeguards when the going rate at any other leisure centre would be around £11PH. The treatment of Lifeguards on site is ridiculous you will be made to stand on top of freezing inflatables for over 4 hours at a time dealing with borderline hypothermia, On the rare hot day as well you will be in the same situation not being given water or allowed to top up on sun cream in my first year working here I had such severe burns I couldn't return to work for 2 weeks. Pete Boyle the Owner is the worse person I have ever worked with serious case of short man syndrome about him he goes around verbally abusing all of his workers until the point of tears I have watched Pete Boyle scream at 17 year old girls until they were in tears out of boredom or some sort of power trip. I have done shifts in the wetsuit barn and it is not much better often understaffed and if you are working a jaws shift expect to be on until 1am and on at 9pm the next morning the barn is also infested with Rats so watch your step. Health and Safety is often disregarded at the fate of the customer I have been on shift when sections of the park have came loose or floated away from the rest of the section while customers have been on them due to the poor health and safety standards all around. When customers get injured an often event the management cares more about putting a waiver in their hand rather than proper care. The accomodation is also to poor standards I have heard horror stories of mice and rats living in the accomodation in the forest not surprising really but would AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Pros

Nice co workers. Find it hard to say much good about the place

Cons

Terrible management and ownership. Employees are given too much responsibility for the minimum wage pay. You should expect to be working way beyond your job description. The owner Pete Boyle has serious anger issues and often takes this out on employees, many of which are under the age of 18 and also takes it out on customers. Management and ownership refuse to treat staff well and despite the owner being worth 122 million ( according to google) he refused to pay staff above minimum wage. You are given no proper training and deal with constant customer complaints all day . Rotas are never put out on time. The site is filthy and rat infested. Staff are given no proper staff room to use.
