Pros

- Welcome pack - Decent induction

Cons

I was hired by an interim CTO without having spoken to my line manager who mentioned to me that I didn't have the right skills for the job 3 months into my probation. Culture was to terminate and not train when you made mistakes - toxic to say the least.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback; both positive and areas for improvement. We are open about the fact that we are driving a high performance culture and have ambitious goals for our business, and employees as a result. We're not clear from the review when your experience was (we have had a permanent CTO since 2021). but 99% of our new starters this year have successfully passed their probation. As part of our onboarding, we have set frameworks in place to provide coaching, tools, support and ongoing feedback throughout the first 3 months and beyond. I'm sorry that your experience did not meet our own high standards. You are welcome to provide any further feedback to us via people@liberis.co.uk.

Pros

The pay seems to somewhat acknowledge the lack of processes, organisation and development in place.

Cons

Lack of recognition, terrible management and development hinges solely on how much you're willing to accept things as they are and ignore gaping issues. You will be told you aren't suitable for a position based on not having experience that it would have only taken 30 seconds to check (and find out you actually do). And this will come from people that have spent 3 years pretending to be your friend. Avoid at all costs!

Pros

pay is good. people are friendly and nice to work with.

Cons

Since the change of upper management late last year there has been a slew of changes, most of which are superficial and have had zero impact on the business. Just leading to uncertainty in direction and goals. Staff turnover has increased as goalposts are constantly moved and messaging about how well the company is doing from different upper management personnel is all over the place. Simultaneously going great and at the precipice of financial ruin. If Liberis succeeds this year it will be in spite of the new tech leadership and not because of it. As changes made have had little impact beyond introducing superficial status meetings and changing of tooling. Nothing being done is data driven and is done on feelings and hunches from a select few individuals hired through what can only be described as nepotistic. With people hired into very senior high paying roles and arguably don't have the previous experience to validate the choice.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to share. We take all feedback very seriously as it is critical in helping us improve. Like any scaling business, and in our tech org specifically, we’ve been introducing changes to the way we work to ensure we have the capabilities and resources we need to deliver on our single company goal. We acknowledge growing rapidly as a scale up, with operations across multiple countries, with plans to expand further is incredibly hard work in the best of times. From our delivery model, our domains, squads, the introduction of new roadmaps and team ceremonies - we acknowledge there’s been a lot. Change and continuous iteration and improvement is tough on people and managers, and sometimes it does create uncertainty. We are, however, incredibly proud of our progress, and especially of our people who work incredibly hard every day to make a positive difference to our colleagues, partners and customers. We’d like to thank you for your contributions to Liberis during your time with us and we wish you all the best. We are always willing to chat if you have any further feedback to share, you can contact us directly at people@liberis.com.
