Can't think of a worse place to work

Pros

Some of the people who work there are cool and easy to get along with

Cons

You are expected to be in no later than 8:30am and cannot leave any earlier than 6:30pm. Say goodbye to your family and social life. CEO expects you to be in no matter the weather, if there are blizzard conditions outside, best believe you'll be going into the office. Clients are never invited to the office, probably because it is a 700 sq ft room with crap everywhere located in an unsafe building. Will only meet with clients in rented office space in the city. When it comes time for you to receive a raise you will be let go so someone entry level can take your place and be paid base salary. There is no lunch break, you are expected to work through lunch and eat at your desk. No perks, CEO claims Summer Friday's are for the birds, but he has no problem playing golf. No sick days no vacation days no personal days, you are given two weeks to use as you wish and that's it. I also find it comical that all positive reviews of this company are from current employees, wonder who put them up to it?

Life in Mobile Response

At Life in Mobile, we are constantly striving to improve and create a an awesome work atmosphere for all. It appears that we failed to do so in your case; of which I are very sorry for your experience. I am always willing to hear from team members and receive their feedback so that together we can take strides to improve employee satisfaction. I am proud of the fact that we have had summer Fridays since we opened in August 2012 as well as give a bonus to all team members since inception. As a startup in 2012, this was a huge challenge for us, but we did it. I am always looking for ways to show our employees our appreciation. Our team members make up who we are. They are an amazing group of individuals, whose efforts and hard work are the foundation of our success. I am super grateful of all that they do to ensure Life in Mobile keeps growing. Keep killing it!!

Pros

Chill work environment, never bored, always busy (a little too busy), good people, so much potential, room to grow, yearly bonuses.

Cons

CEO, overworked, no work/life balance, cant be honest when you are unhappy - you are looked at as "negative" or "a cancer" to the team and eventually let go with no warning. Made plenty of suggestions to improve the workplace - none of those were taken until employees started dropping like flies and company didn't want to look bad. Lots of promises (401k, more help, processes) again - didn't happen until 1/4 of the staff left/was let go without warning. Benefits were too expensive. Let go with no pay when you give your two weeks notice (bad message to future employees - my as well just quit). Denied understandable raises to employees who worked for 5+ years but will waste money on hover boards and punching bag for the office.

Life in Mobile means no life

Pros

Good people, determined group, amazing ideas. The company itself considers itself a start up but has made itself past that phase. Products are awesome. Lot's of room for growth.

Cons

No structure, unprofessional, overworked. Lot's of running in circles. Low pay and one bonus. The amount of stress is insane. If you are looking for life/work balance, this is not the place.
