Pros

It is a job and it has benefits that are low cost. The work is easily managed yet busy.

Cons

The management lacks leadership skills, unprofessional, throws temper tantrums while yelling and slamming doors. Micromanager who watches everything the employees does. Does not offer opportunities to grow career and learn new things. Hires friends on the team that is not knowledgeable to do the job and expects team members to train them. Manager does not know applications to offer any support or answer any questions. Restrictions on utilizing benefits such as PTO.

Pros

Are there any?? Really I can’t think of anything good about working for this company, not that has to do with the company anyway.....

Cons

Insurance benefits are very limited and expensive, especially if you have to use them. Unwilling to spend money to make upgrades to computer programs to make work smoother, the programs from one department to the next do not communicate well at all. Fixed departments should never have to flex time off. Fixed departments do not work like direct patient care departments. There is always work to be done. And if you want to get paid on those flex days then you have to use your PTO or take it unpaid... which you can’t afford to do because the wages are not competitive. The other benefits such as 401K are a joke.

Pros

Hmmm....I got nothing. I guess my personal "pro" is that I got another job elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of any Lifepoint owned facility.

Cons

Although hospital was previously run by another for-profit company, Lifepoint brought nothing positive to the table. They put an idiot in the CEO chair. Management is worse than ever, benefits truly suck, and all departments are working short. Turnover is ridiculously high, especially for nursing.
