TOXIC ENVIRONMENT starting from the TOP with HIGH TURNOVER RATE

Pros

NONE AT ALL! The 5 star comments are out there by the “marketing team”. Look at all the negative reviews!

Cons

Don’t be fooled by the polished image presented during the interview process. While Lifescape Colorado may seem like a place that values open communication and feedback, the reality is quite the opposite. This year alone, the turnover has been staggering. In just the past four months, the entire accounting team (total of 4 people) left due to overwhelming workloads and lack of support from upper management. They also lost an exceptional executive assistant who brought energy and positivity to the office, as well as an extraordinary office manager who was fired after setting professional boundaries and raising valid concerns about workplace treatment. The garden management team has been hit hard, too, with 4 hardworking managers leaving despite their dedication. The only 2 schedulers for the work crews are also gone. They’re overworking the current staff because interviewers are finally seeing how terrible this place is! Why so much turnover? It’s the toxic environment and how employees are treated. The glowing 5-star reviews you might see are written by a “marketing manager” who works remotely—an option not extended to the rest of the staff. Meanwhile, the rest of us were told remote work wasn’t allowed, creating an unfair double standard. This is not a supportive or collaborative workplace. Most employees feel disconnected, and unless you’re actively reaching out to others, it’s hard to build trust or rapport. Upper management (C-suite) drains your energy and doesn’t prioritize the well-being of their teams. If you’re considering working here, think twice. The turnover speaks volumes, and morale is at an all-time low.

Toxic Hot Mess

Pros

You aren’t chained, so escape is possible.

Cons

Micromanagement nightmare, ineffective management from the top-down, rampant sexual harassment that is always blamed on the victim and anyone else affected, broken departments… it is just bad. I didn’t pay attention to all the prior negative reviews on this site when I came on - I assumed it was a singular disgruntled employee. Nope. You have plenty of warnings here and elsewhere, it’s all you need to know. They will make it all appear shiny at the beginning and then when you’re roped in you will see the whole story of what a toxic nightmare this place is. Interesting tidbit for the people thinking “I can just last a year and show I worked for a premier company…” ***multiple*** interviewers during my departure recommended removing this company from my resume because an empty employment window had more credibility. You gain nothing, but you will sacrifice everything. HR seems to think that constant breakdowns into crying episodes is absolution for their ineffectiveness - while playing “mother hen” to all of us when they are the first to draw blood because they swim in the koolaid they serve daily and have zero tolerance for anyone who questions the status quo. Then there is the question of solvency… which considering how they have multiple crews with no work, delays in bonus payments, obsession with milking their current clientele dry… this is not a healthy company. You’ve been warned by myself and others. Pay attention.

Pros

Should be a good place to work considering their size, the number of positions and the amount of money they bring in as well as the processes they have established for operations. Can be a fun environment due to the real people.

Cons

Micromanagement hell, every move is prescribed and monitored. Greedy and cheap. Lots of egos and they treat their employess, esepcially the field staff, horribly. A bunch of bullies who are proud of their behavior because they feel like they are "winning". Abhorrent dishonesty. This all detetiorates client relationships and delivers subpar products as well as creates an incredibly high staff turnover.
