Toxic and Dated.

Pros

Some of the people who work here are amazing. SOME.

Cons

Unfortunately, the number of great people is far overshadowed by the toxicity of the company. A severe lack of accountability runs rampant through all levels of the organization. Ridiculous security policies slow down work, then the owners blame the development team for missing targets and deadlines. They claim a "hybrid" work environment, but make everyone feel guilty for working at home. They claimed "low productivity" on work from home days, but they didn't show any of the proof. All decisions are made by a small group of people in closed door sessions, and no input from employees is ever considered. The epitome of a boomer-lead company. They are severely unable to adapt.

Pros

Work is rather easy. Nobody actually monitors productivity.

Cons

I struggled to find a PRO, but it was a required field. CONS are much easier to find. The majority shareholder / owner is out of touch, as are most other senior leadership. Pat Cline refuses to let go of the company, and refuses to allow better leadership to take over. He has outdated views on work environments, and he doesn't care about his people - at all. Maybe he's been rich for too long? He hires his family to work important jobs, then blames his non-relatives for problems in the company. There is new C level leadership, but they're not allowed to actually DO anything. The ratio of managers to individual contributors is probably something like 2:1. Everybody has a managers title. Which makes sense, since nobody really does any actual work. Then we have client retention. Nope, wait, there isn't any. Sales reps promise the clients the world, then deliver a snow globe. The product is outdated garbage, using old technology, so once clients actually realize this - they just leave. There must not be a legal team, because the clients get out of contracts with minimal effort. There are no career opportunities here. Because, there is no growth. The company is stagnant.

Short sighted company

Pros

Lovely Christmas party every year, lunches every Thursday, excellent coworkers.

Cons

Unfortunately, this company is determined to be incredibly shortsighted in every way. A good deal of people left when they took away one of the WFH days, constant looming threat of the last being removed. Refusal to rework the old, out dated code base even when severe issues were discovered that the company could be sued for in the future. Spoke of wanting to move towards the modern, but it was lip service as speed over quality was the true method of development there. Very poor code was often pushed out in order to get something out the door. When employees had good ideas, it was all too often ignored if it would involve any level of slowing down to refactor old code. Long projects that would have severely aided development time were put to the side.
