Pros

The people are amazing and helpful

Cons

The transparency? Nonexistent. They do tell you that you’ll be outside for the majority of your shift, and that the hours will be long, that’s not a surprise. It was also weird that my trainer was told not to answer my questions because “I’m not supposed to know that yet”. The surprise is that they promise you a safety net while training but then upon getting the check, it’s not even half of what was promised. Another surprise is being told you’re not trying hard enough to beg for money, or as they say “Take donations”. Also, fun fact, they make you beg for your paycheck. You get paid based on how much money you can get people to “donate” to a nonprofit that has rarely ever been seen in any official capacity. You get paid 30 cents on the dollar. But magically the boss can turn that into 40 or 50. I highly doubt the other 70 goes to the nonprofit. This is a pyramid scheme, albeit with a legal workaround. Also, all of the reviews that are 5 stars are from current employees in leadership. I wonder if it’s a requirement to move up 🤔

Pros

Get to show Self displine by having to stand 10± hrs a day soliciting people from outside storefronts for money. May find young friends to work with . And they encourage encouraging one another. If you don't mind , staying out all night to reach "bell"- "$400 a day expected to bring in a day from fundraising"asking people at stores for money. It's a learning experience in my opinion but not something to put all your eggs in this basket. But to each their own. Like they say. Know Your WHY for doing the Job.

Cons

Cons: The pay is unstable and not consistent even the safety pay at the beginning was reneged upon with hidden clauses. The supportive work environment seems like the best and most encouraging outlook of the job but you will quickly find out it's hypocrisy and only supportive if the upper heads/ supremacist consider you beneficial and able to capitalize off of. Otherwise they will secretly set you up for failure. It feels cultish because everyone is seemingly indoctrinate to this notion of how to act and think and no one is being truly Transparent or Honest about it all. It's basically Just making money for someone else, hustling the streets daily with the hope that one Day you'll be in charge and will have others doing that for you. Alot of people comfort themselves by thinking working there will get them rich quick and that they'll be the owner of the company Within a year . Overworked because they expect you to get there before 9am everyday and honestly want you to go home around 9pm after working the event/streets all day. Home Life balance will be completely throwed off. I would not recommend to someone who need home time for family or school. It's very time demanding. The coworkers there seem to have an agenda and not truly sincere. You have to use your own resources for gas to drive to these "events" Sometimes over 1hr.30 mins to drive to soliciting spots. Then when you come back to office have to wait another 30 plus mins to have them count your money and ask about what happened. Turnover Rate is high as they interview and bring new people in weekly. And it's very competitive and somewhat stressful coming in to work there.

Pros

None , they lie all the time

Cons

The base pay is $500 dollars for over 60+ hours a week. They lie about the commission. I was told that I would get base plus commission. Then I was told I would get paid base + commission ( if I collected more than $600). Then someone else was told that they would get paid base or commission, which ever was more. The company had me driving out of town ( at least an 1 hour away) two or 3 times a week and they never told me where I was going ahead of time and would say that no one knew where I was going until the morning off. The company never fully paid out millage or gas. Saturdays are supposed to be a half day (9am-12pm, which I later found out was really 9am-3pm) , one day I had to be somewhere for 1pm and I was told that they didn’t know if I was going to get my full base pay. I told that this was because they didn’t know if I had made 40 hours that week even though I had put in over 50 hours already. They told someone else that they don’t count hours. They will find any excuse to have you working 60hours a week and barely pay you. They claim it’s because you are working for charities. However, even charities pay a living wage . They have an extremely high turn over and they don’t care. At one of the team gatherings at Top Golf , I over heard team mates laughing and saying they didn’t think certain employees were going to make it past a week, and acted as if it was normal for people to constantly quit. They prey on young people by telling them they can make a lot of money that they will never see and try to tell them that they are doing it for a good cause so it shouldn't matter if they can never pay their bills. They have you standing outside of businesses begging people for money in business suits no matter what the weather is like. After driving around standing outside all day , you have to go back to the office to have meetings . These meetings could be had in the 1-3 hour drives back into town. The company promised I would be working 9am-6pm and Saturday 9am-12pm. However I wasn’t getting home until 8:30pm every night.
