Turnover (6 employees one day, two the next, 4 the next and so on), Inept and verbally abusive management, Salary, Benefits, Product, Lack of appreciation of all (1-3 at any given time) employees, VULTURES!
Linkwell offers great benefits: unlimited time off, 401k match, money toward monthly home office expenses (internet, cell phone), money toward monthly wellness activities (gym memberships, sneakers, meditation apps). When business is good, they even close the virtual office for the July 4th holiday week.
The editorial team is also the best of the best. They're smart, creative and savvy editors with immense work ethics and drives. With their help, I grew so much as an editor and content strategist during my time at Linkwell.
Cons
Work/life balance can be very difficult at times. There is an immense amount of work and only so many hours in a day. While you do have unlimited time off and are expected to take at least 2-3 weeks off each year plus the holidays, it is nearly impossible to fully unplug.
But I have hope for the future at LWH and still do not regret my time here at all. Editorial leaders are actively working to solve this issue. Hopefully, the team will soon be able to set boundaries between sales/client needs with the capacity of the editorial team--or hire a boatload of editors and managing editors to alleviate the burden.
Significant revenue growth in last 18 months, visionary CEO has been running the business and made significant overhauls to the product and to the sales team. I can only imagine that the prior reviews are related the old management team. Lots of nice and very smart people on the team. The CEO listed on this Glassdoor page is no longer the CEO.
Cons
Like all growing companies, Linkwell had some growing pains in the past, some people still reference those as data points, even though the business is performing very well currently.
