Unfortunately my role was not as interesting in practice as it sounded on paper. It was very admin heavy and didn't maximise the skills and experience my colleagues and I brought to the role. The main issue however was a manager who was a bully and fostered an environment were people were scared to share their ideas or speak their minds. This resulted in a very unhappy workforce and the entire team leaving over the course of 1 year, including the manager. Hopefully newcomers will have a better experience now that this manager has left

Some directors lack experience in team management, overlook legislation, willingly and knowingly overwork teams and play favourites. One in particular lies to cover the self.
