Pros
Specialist college with industry links. Equipment and materials a plenty. Pupils are eager and want to learn Behaviour is good. You can accept the situation, stay here, get your experience and move on.
Cons
SLT and Middle Management are self serving, and are only interested in their own careers. As such they have a lack of empathy and consideration for other members of staff. The Principal thinks of the college as a business, his focus is not on the teaching and learning. Over all this is a racist and sexist organisation. You will be treated badly, especially if you are a woman of colour. Management and Leadership will expect you to put up and shut up. Diversity and Inclusion is a joke. HR at LDE are 100% on the side of management and will brush all complaints under the carpet. Do not expect to be supported in your teaching role. Your work life will not be balanced. Your effort will not be rewarded with even a thank you.
