Pros

Casual dress and likable employees

Cons

The CEO. He makes inexplicable, knee-jerk reactions that hurt employees. For instance: he removed all work from home ability (even though he himself is remote), he extends office hours because he doesn’t think employees are working hard enough, and lays off employees without telling their manager. Len has zero trust in his employees to the point where he would write canned emails for his client facing employees and mandate that he be copied on every email sent out. On top of that, he has issued a call quota of 60 calls per day for all AE's and AM's. Because of budget cuts, Len opted to remove IT, HR & training positions and has never replaced them which only adds to the chaos. Len has made the company a joke and nearly every employee is applying/interviewing elsewhere because they know that they could be fired at any time

Pros

Lots of talented employees who care, but are powerless to make any real decisions.

Cons

Where to begin, commissions are earned and not paid with no explanation. Pay plans change and no one communicates this to the employees. People are fired without notice and replaced without any feedback. There literally is no HR department so even when complaints are lodged, they go nowhere. Everyone tip toes around the CEO. He micro manages everything and makes decisions that don't make any sense. Senior leaders never actually get in front of their customers, except for a few notable exceptions. If the managers were able to run the business the right way without CEO and COO interference, and they actually spent time with customers and dealers it would be a whole different story. Until that changes, the company will never win.

Pros

On the ‘bottom’ rung, folks are amazing, smart and Just all around awesome.

Cons

Where to begin? With at least four rounds of ‘layoffs’ since 2020 began-it’s no wonder the ones left are looking to jump ship too. Not one person under senior management is actually appreciate, or rewarded for all of their hard work. The CEO is off of his rocker, changing things on a whim without thinking things through, or how the CUSTOMERS would actually utilize the product - it’s what he wants how he wants it all the time. People in account management (I.e. customer facing) would provide feedback from the customer constantly, and nothing would ever change-and then it’s somehow our fault when they cancelled because it didn’t. He sends ranty, insane emails-particularly one crapping all over the city of Chicago, and the team there-and it was supposed to be ‘cheeky’. Reality check-every single person in the Chicago office didn’t see it that way, and was offended that he said we hate your pizza, your sports and your river dying.’ Also-what sane person sends something that childish in an all company email? Promotions were promised and never given-because we had to earn it. Did what was asked and said ‘come a little farther’. It was never given and it certainly wasn’t on merit. Nothing is easy! Everything is done in the hardest way possible-Including for the customers. You recommend an easier way to do something and get the same result-14 people above you get involved, there’s never an actual understanding (or conversation), and instead of having that and even finding a compromise, it either gets a flat No, or dusted under the rug.
