Pros

Very nice people within teams, working with local business

Cons

Upper management has no respect for people, fired most of the company within the span of a few months due to "budget cuts". Immature and high school gossip environment. CEO is a nepo baby that does not have a proper understanding of the market. Incompetence is a grand understatement.

Pros

Family owned, you can meet and talk to the CEO’s on a casual day at work, they are not intimidating like other companies. Small business, which is great because you get a lot of hands on experience in the position you are in, plus you wear multiple hats which strengthens you for other positions when you decide to leave. Since the company is small you get to learn everyone’s position and see how everything moves and works together.

Cons

All the pros above are also cons. Like mentioned earlier it is family owned. Which means, when a family member needs a job, they’ll get hired (and won’t even have the experience or be qualified). So yes small business means you will learn a lot about the business... which in turns means you will do A LOT and not get compensated. They pay really bad here. They’ll fire someone and give you their workload, never mention giving you a raise so they can save money. Plus a lot of the fires I’ve seen there are not even based on performance, it’s like mentioned earlier, a family member moves to Los Angeles and needs a job so they tell the person that their position has been terminated and lay them off, then they hire the family member to do the same position but call it something else so they won’t get in trouble legally. Also since the company is small everyone is so nosey 😑 literally if you sneeze in front of one person the whole office will hear a rumor about you being insanely sick, so be careful what you share. Also, there are tons of old ppl in this company which means they are stuck in their old boring ways. When I mean old I mean OLD, like 70+ cane walking old. They are all in upper management and all losing their memory yet get paid so much.... so yup a lot of ageism here. Which brings me to the other con that HR here is bad. They’ll hear a rumor and run with it instead of talking it out with employees. Plus non-approachable nor do you feel like it’s a “safe-haven.” Lastly, parking sucks! You cannot park your own car and they leave it on lifts, it’s terrifying. Plus it takes you forever to get your car when you leave at 5 and their is only one valet guy! Which is everyday!!
