Pros

-Great culture, everyone wants to work hard to achieve the mission -Ambitious people - Transportation perks - Room for growth within the team when it isn’t target focused

Cons

- Promote over working with low salary & very little benefits. & now that we work from home there is no line between personal well-being & work. If you want to promote over working at least provide health insurance - Bonus depends on your targets & targets are somewhat unrealistic especially with the current situation. The only solution to that is overwork yourself & pray you meet your target. Your yearly raise depends on your targets that you’ve gotten. So as you can tell you’ll have to over work yourself for another year in hopes to meet your targets that year to get a decent raise - Growth development is now basically how to get the targets - They do a good job with Sometimes making you feel replaceable - There tends to be lack of transparency, even though they promote openness - it’s great that the mangers learn as they go but they also need a managerial workshop to learn how to professionally handle employees in a team

Pros

Good product with a list of big customers (generating good revenues) Backed by renowned Investors (no lack of funds) The engineering team is mostly smart young people Productive work environment (when you get used to it)

Cons

The engineering team is a bit understaffed (given the scale on which they operate and how challenging the tasks sometimes can be) The engineering management sometimes is overwhelmed and sometimes a bit incompetent (mainly achieving good results due to the exceptional efforts of the engineering team itself) The HR and Engineering management are collaborating strategically to underpay each and everyone in the engineering team (with very few exceptions) and trying to populate of the engineering vacancies with fresh or junior engineers (whom can be happy to join with lower salaries) to avoid setting the salaries bar high if they hired seniors instead They try to justify the lower salaries bar with the fact that they have a long list of perks which is a twist because more than half of it ends up not really usable (like having a 22 free Uber rides to/from the office while you are working from home, or working from El Gouna while the reservation is always/almost not available at the proper times in the year, or not having enough funds for your personal loan in the years budget, etc...)

Thank you for your comments. We continue to learn and adjust. I can honestly state that the engineering team has nothing to do with the salary structures, its all the HR :) Seriously though, the HR team works really hard on getting this right. If you are interested in learning more on how we go about doing this, please reach out to me. Sherif Amer
