Pros

Team leads and managers are great if you're lucky. Options to work from home in some departments. Culture is fun and young. With the right manager, you can have a good work/life balance.

Cons

The mission, vision, and values sound great but are a switch and bait. Mass layoffs every couple of months, increasing the workload of everyone left with no pay raises. Extremely low morale. Very little chance of career growth. People in leadership support and encourage fraud in legal documents. Bringing up concerns is often ignored by those who can do anything about it. Corporate says one thing and does another, and claims to be transparent but have no integrity. Bonuses were offered as an incentive to reach goals, then not paid out after goals were reached. CEO himself said during an all-hands meeting that these bonuses would not be paid out at all when questioned about it. Not a trustworthy company. Even with mass layoffs, there are many people still on staff who do very little work during office hours and are not held accountable. Communication between most departments and regions is a joke.

Pros

Opportunity to make a lot if you grind. But you get paid only after the install which could be months.

Cons

Typical toxic work dynamics. Long install times. I don’t even work there anymore and am still owed 4000

Pros

I loved my team. Really great people to work with. It did pay well.

Cons

I was offered the job with the promise that my role would have a direct impact on company growth. I quickly learned that I was not allowed to do my job, because our C level micromanaged everything. Literally nothing ever got done, because he would not approve anything, or allow managers to do their jobs and approve projects. Everything had to be “perfect” before a project could ship. However, expectations were never communicated, so while everyone tried hard to achieve perfection, it was always a shot in the dark. Additionally, he would blame others for his mistakes and was often very condescending. Massive ego! While I was at Lumio, my department never once held an all hands meeting. I never knew what our goals were, or what each team was working on. Funny thing is- they sell solar panels. But I never learned a thing about them because the focus was always all over the place, and mostly on side projects. The company went through layoffs, which affected me. Before I got laid off, there was so much tension and stress in the office. Everyone was afraid they were next. While I was still there, I never heard a word from the CEO or HR regarding the layoffs. No transparency. No reassurance. Literally nothing. I wrote an email to HR to express my concern, and asked if they or the executives could address what was going on. I never even got a response. And then I got laid off a few days later. I would never recommend Lumio to anyone.
