Pros

Hours of operation are great.

Cons

Company has been run like a mom and pop operation for so long that it is now in panic mode. Now they want to increase prices, aggressively control cost and cut benefits.

Pros

The people working inside of the restaurant were always great to work with and always willing to work together and really be a friendly environment within the four walls. Worked for Luna grill for almost 4 years, Promotions from within, I started as a cashier and worked up to General Manager. BOH receives free shift meals. ESL classes. Provide servsafe classes for managers without certification. safety of guests with thorough inspections and action plans. Cleanliness and organization standards. Safety conciencous of employees

Cons

Home office is very "cliquey" Not a healthy work/life balance. Not a healthy work environment with "home office" too much gossip and drama from people within corporate that are well past their teen years to be this full of drama. I saw too many people that worked hard that were always passed up for promotions because certain friends/ family members wanted the position not qualified for. Too focused on expansion plan without listening to the needs of the restaurants that are struggling I.e the real fuel to your ever expanding brand. BOH (kitchen staff) paid very poorly for the high demanded strenuous labor that is required from them. Proceed with restaurant openings without restaurant being fully staffed. "Merit Increase" is not worth the increase that you're team is expecting for the hard efforts most are putting in especially BOH. Receiving calls on your day off that you are expected to answer

Pros

Delicious food, great concept with room for growth, passionate founders

Cons

Unpleasant work environment. Almost everyone at corporate is miserable. President oversees every department with extreme micromanagement and lack of boundaries/respect for off hours. Every department is understaffed. Very too heavy organization. No long term strategy. Sporadic changing of plans and initiatives meaning work is continuously piled on and understaffed teams are rushed to hit unrealistic deadlines. Reactive executive team instead of proactive and strategic. Benefits are awful: lack of bonus structure, no 401k contribution, limited paid time off, no paid family leave and only offers 2-day bereavement leave. Ironic as company lists “family” as value. Lack of praise for completed work and effort. Executive leadership does not understand or appreciate the amount of l work that goes into various projects. Leadership team is impossible to please and rarely gives recognition to employees for hard work and effort involved.
