Toxic culture: Favoritism is rampant — promotions go to those with connections rather than merit. Lack of respect for women: The environment can feel unsafe, with inappropriate comments and unprofessional behavior tolerated by management. Unqualified leadership: Decisions are erratic and top-down, with little vision or strategy. No learning or growth: Talented, hardworking people leave quickly because effort isn’t recognized.
