Pros

They do a great job training first job/entry level sales skills. This job requires a middle school level of education - every single aspect of having a job and how to sell is spelled out (i.e. how to set a password, how to set your email signature, what is a cold call, etc). If you want to get into sales and/or miss college life of parties then this is the perfect job for you. Just as long as you are okay with still living at home like so many of your coworkers because you won't get paid enough to afford to rent even a bedroom in Chicago.

Cons

Do not be fooled, hardly anyone makes above their base. This is a company that excels at churning through hundreds of fresh out of college graduates. Prepare to sit at your desk and cold call...every day...non-stop. Everything is tracked from how many notes you log to how many calls you make and the average length of time of each call (seriously, it gets emailed to everyone multiple times a day and you will be constantly critiqued based on those numbers). I could go on about how any account you might land will get given to a senior sales rep or how managers blatantly rewards their favorites but just save yourself a ton of time and get hired, keep interviewing for other jobs, and move on. To them, you are cheap labor only good for mass cold calling so treat the job the same way, use it as a stepping stone to get a professional job with actual career potential.

Pros

Great place to work if you just graduated from college and are looking to begin a career in sales. Casual dress. Culture club events are fun. The SIC incentive events are a good time. The company is growing and went through a new re rebranding. The training program is excellent for new sales associates, since EHS/OSHA compliance isn't something the average person has a great deal of knowledge on offhand, and training does a great job at breaking down the the tools you need to get a great first start in sales, and they're now adding a "level 2" training program for people that have been there a little longer. the best sales executives get a sales trip to Cancun or Cozumel in winter.

Cons

If you accept a job here, you WILL be sitting in front of a computer screen on your desk for ~40 hours a week relentlessly cold calling until, or IF, someone of the correct authority at a business that is a good candidate for the products picks up and agrees to a demo. Your manager will sound like a broken record telling you that you're not reaching your metrics, but they will refuse to acknowledge (or admit) the fact that some regions are simply just easier to work in than others. You will work diligently day after day and sometimes that just isn't good enough, even though it was good enough for another executive. Other big problems I noticed: There is so many shameless gossiping about other co workers/ex coworkers. It made me fee like I'm in the 10th grade again. On several occasions I've heard employees loudly talk very poorly of past associates that didn't make it. They'll laugh at these people, and just rag on some of them for minutes for no reason. That kind of workplace behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional as an adult in the workplace There is heavy turnover, as in most sales position. The entry level pay is low. Since the product/sales training program is designed for fresh and recent graduates, a sales person with skills greater than entry level probably would need a different kind of training program to really acclimate.
