      Good PSU Company with Diversified E-commerce Business

      Pros

      This is a Central Public Sector Enterprise under Ministry of Steel. Head office is in Kolkata. The main business of the company is e-auction on behalf of various Govt. departments, PSUs all over India. Other than this e-sales, retail software, e-procurement and various other services are provided by this company. Many of the Flagship projects of Govt. of India like Coal Block auction, Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana, UDAN, e-RaKAM have been successfully done by MSTC Ltd. Main pros are: 1) Salary is good, nice work environment 2) All offices are mainly in capitals of states or in main cities. 3) Diversified e-commerce business in various sector which enables the officials to meet with top level management and officials of various Govt. Departments and PSUs 4) Working hour is generally from 9:30 am to 6 pm

      Cons

      1) Frequent Travel to various places for new business purpose. 2) Specialized experience in a particular stream can not be gained if working in operations department.

      Pros

      1) Ontime and Handsome Salary. 2)Offices are only in Metro Cities or Capital cities. 3) Exposure wise also a good company. 4)Decent perks and benefits. 5) Any officer, even MTs can directly interact with Top level Management. 6)Good projects in pipeline.

      Cons

      1) Some time too much work pressure may disrupt the work life balance. 2)As true with others psus here also, Horse and donkeys are in the same race. Extra work may be allocated because of lazy and " Chalta hai" attitude of other officers.

      Pros

      1. Good Salary package for freshers. Training/Probation period is 1 year and after that designated as Assistant Manager in E1 scale with a CTC of 13-15 Lakhs (Approx) depending upon the place of posting. 2. Excellent medical benefits for employee and their family. 3. Other perks like Performance Related pay, mobile bill reimbursement, etc. 4. Offices only in Metros/state capitals throughout India. 5. Overall Good work-life balance. 6. Various Employee benefit schemes. 7. Has to deal across govt. departments and organizations of various verticals.

      Cons

      1.Govt. PSU and hence process to be followed for each decision. Cannot take immediate decisions 2. Work becomes monotonous over a period of time unless posted in specific projects. 3. Performance of individual has a limited role to play. Promotion is time-based and not performance-based. 4. Transfers and postings will be throughout India.
