Pros

2 years ahead of the market, we have an unbelievable opportunity to create the next edge computing paradigm. Open, including, boundary-pushing whilst operating with integrity and authenticity. We are on a collective mission to make our customers, partners and as a result, Macrometa successful by rearchitecting the cloud for modern application use cases

Cons

The underlying technology is well established but we're still early and building the playbooks for how we will take the business to developers and enterprises. This means lots of building and working closely with partners and customers to refine our technology, messaging, and go-to-market plans. This means heavy lift and contributions for everyone in the business.

Pros

A remote first - distributed company - I work with people from all over the US, UK,Bulgaria, Serbia, Mexico, India and Sri Lanka. Radically transparent leadership style of the founders is refreshing (and unusual) CEO's townhall is the most transparent style - discusses problems, challenges and whats not going well with as much transparency as whats going great Flush with cash - has raised a lot of Capital - has a lot of capital to hire, grow and acquire competitors Seasoned executive team - the founding team have seen plenty of startup action Reasonably well run for a Series A company - has more structure and process than most companies at this stage founder-CEO is the money making, wheeling dealing business guy while founder-CTO is the technically gifted genius - good chemistry and healthy respect for each other. Durga the CTO is a genius but down to the earth and well grounded (rare)

Cons

Execs have been in and out - CEO has an open and stated policy of firing poor fits early (on his internal blog for all employees to read but in fairness he has clearly laid out how he hires, promotes and fires). But replaced COO and CMO within 6 months of hiring them. Remote teams are challenging esp during crunch time Onboarding is rough - I hope they improve this.
