Pros

Great place for work life balance and awesome benefits that include health, vision, 401K, dental, Rx and PTO

Cons

Company has moved to inexperienced poor decision makers who are narcissist,, egotistical and don't care about their employees. I have observed sexism and unfair treatment of women, discrimination to minorities, favoritism to friends. Those behaviors make you wonder if their is equal pay to women and minorities. A complete disregard for senior employees with experience. If you have grey hair, you are disrespected because of your knowledge and experience. The company website displays the seven dwarfs of white men in charge. At one time the leadership was a very diverse group of women and minorities. Now the company's leadership is a good ole boy system with inexperience but the owner loves them because they enjoy his good ole boy stories and suck up to him. If you want to succeed, don't have a different opinion or recommendation

Pros

Was once a great company to work at. Loved the health insurance, benefits were great.

Cons

Lies. Lots of lies. Promotions go to people who cry. Experienced staff with lower titles are expected to train people in higher pay grades. Knowledgeable people with a strong industry background stagnate in a corner with no hope of a future. COO will lie right to your face then lie about lying. The most productive people are the least respected. Pay is way low for the expectations. They pound their chests on culture and core values, but few at the top exhibit these characteristics in real world action - "Do what I say, not what I do."

Pros

Flexible work schedule, get your hours in and your work done. Good variety of clients, not totally reliant on one utility company for recurring work. Friendly, caring people. Good opportunity for advancement, show initiative and get the job done without relying too much on others. Provide paid time off to volunteer. Willing to provide training opportunities and purchase design reference material.

Cons

Overworked at times to meet clients needs with no opportunity to make money beyond base salary. Cramped office space, even with its benefits working on top of each other makes for lots of lost time. Laptops are used for all engineering department, desktops seem like they would be better for some drafters running CAD programs.
