      Not Sure Why People Still Work There

      Pros

      It’s a job for those whom need one.

      Cons

      Organization needs to be restructured: the top doesn’t know what the bottom level is doing or doesn’t care to know, low pay for most positions, no understanding through multiple levels of management, lies to people during interviews, poor employee appreciation for the ones that are truly out making the company millions. None of the office workers understand what troubles the actual labor workers endure and could care less.

      Our “dedicated, responsive, professionals” have tough jobs working all over the country in good weather and bad. It isn’t for everyone. Working for Mahaffey provides the opportunity to those that want to see the USA, work outdoors, and gain valuable work experience on a team. Our traveling installers start at $15/hr (recent high school graduate with no experience) to $22/hr (dependable, proven ability to turn a wrench). Everyone meets their Construction Manager every 90 days for a 2-way conversation and to review the pay; we seek to give our travelers a raise every such meeting! After 6 years our average field technician has a 401k retirement plan balance of nearly $40,000. Our crews gain practical work experience that will be valuable to any employer, some great stories with which to entertain family & friends, and solid financial footing.

      Pros

      Company is very organized. Company superiors are very helpful making arrangements. Pay is good. Always busy. Training site is fantastic as it gives new employees hand on experience ensuring they are not going into the field blind. Lots of travel. After a long day, defiantly a feeling of accomplishment.

      Cons

      Just finished training, have not experienced any downfalls. Although not a downfall for me, this job is hard work and you will earn your pay check!
