Pros
Being a part of a small team, there was fast progress and lots of learning/exposure to the industry. The whole team, apart from the founder, are wonderful to work with and truly deserve a healthier office environment and appreciation.
Cons
It’s appeared a great opportunity to work for a female founded organisation, it’s just a shame said founder feeds and encourages such a toxic culture in the workplace. The founder is a micromanager and brought employees to tears on numerous occasions, there is an extremely high employee turnover rate due to the lack of respect for employees skills and time. Mahalo seriously needs to improve their attitude towards sustainability and the environment, too much food waste and disturbing attitude towards it - they enjoy preaching about sustainability on social media but it has no substance in practice. Not a chance of achieving B-Corp without some MASSIVE changes.
