Pros

-Option to work remote is great -Most of the people on the teams are great, upper management is hit or miss

Cons

-Holidays are very lackluster, especially for a cleaning software. Don't need to be open for lots of holidays that aren't given. Christmas Eve would be a good example of a holiday that is not given. -PTO is very lackluster, especially in your first year. After first year it's just decent -No healthcare (they offer a stipend that covers next to nothing for government plans) -Training is very poor -High performers are rewarded with carrying the weight of the poor performers who are very rarely reprimanded -Lack of transparency -No real clear goals -Very slow to fix/approach problems if at all once they are brought to managements attention (both with the software and internal issues)

This is a remote company.

Cons

MaidCentral is an innovative and growing company, however there is plenty room for growth. My experience was that their training is terrible - instead of having proper demo accounts to actually dive into the role, there are videos and they ask you to do task they can’t manage, management is terrible. The work environment is “we are all family” toxic. They expect you to REALLY train yourself (which is fine to me personally, I’ve over 5yrs of OB/ implementation spec. experience prior to MC) but I left feeling overwhelmed with just over a month of being there. After I communicated that I had an emergency, I had to use my accrued PTO and the following day, it resulted in me leaving the company permanently and they reneged on my PTO approval with no warning/ communication. No personal jabs here, just providing insight into their company morals or the lack of. So ask them their PTO policy prior to agreeing to employment, that was my mistake!

Pros

This company gave me a much needed opportunity to grow as a developer. I'm learning a lot of new skills in web development and mobile app development. + Very nice coworkers + Reasonable pay + Fully remote positions + Flex hours + PTO, 401k, HRA

Cons

The company has a lot of work to do on improving the usability of their software. There is always a lot that needs to be done, remade, and refactored. - Heavy workload - Very few devs - Very few paid holidays
