Pros

Work finishes when you leave. You don't need to think about work outside of the office

Cons

No proper management structure in place - managers do not have the skills to be able to manage employees. No opportunity to progress at all. HR Department is basically non-existent - no one to talk to about personal issues confidentially as it will be spread around the office by HR. Not professional at all and it is not how an office should be run. Minimal work load. It's a very slow paced environment Work 40 hour weeks with the minimum lunch break possible of half an hour and get no work benefits at all included. Very little holiday. 20 days a year when working 40 hour weeks

Hello there, We're very sorry to hear you've had this experience at MHI, and would just like to address some of the points made in this review: - Management Structure. The company has experienced some structural changes over the past few years, but we are confident we now have the right people in the right places to drive the company forward. It's a shame you felt this way at the time of writing the review, and we just wish you could have communicated this whilst you were with us. - Progression. There is ample opportunity for everyone to progress if they show they are willing, determined and enthused about the company and their role. As an SME, promotions are earned through hard work and performance. Again, it's a shame you felt this way and it is certainly not a complaint we receive regularly. - 40 Hour Weeks, 20 Days Holiday. This is part of the contract that everyone signs at the start of employment. Last year, the company added an additional day to each staff's allowance, and we're always looking to discuss such things as long as they are within the interests of the company and our people. - Phones. With no secretary currently employed, this is part of every employee's role at MHI. The phone system is now diverted depending on department but it's rare for any employee to have to pick up the phone more than 5 or 10 times a day. Overall, we're very sorry you had this experience working at MHI and if you had communicated this during your time here, I'm sure we could have found some solutions. Good luck in your current position!
