      Lost glory from being a nation building enterprise to profit only enterprise

      Pros

      Great colleagues. Great networking opportunities from connecting with the communities, LGU officers and even elected officials.

      Cons

      Since 2019 the company is on a decline in terms of work environment and culture. Toxicity is at an all time high from forcing to meet unrealistic and ambitious targets from areas with historically zero to low growth for the past years and realistically with minimal sources of growth. Company now only cares about increasing profit, forcing growth in terms of revenues and less on compliance.

      15 months With performance bonus based on Company and Individual rating

      Cons

      Office Politics Almost all are managers so they are not entitled to OT pay Once you get "nominated" for a promotion, you still have to be OIC for 6 mos to 2 years and after which you will be re-evaluated if you can already assume the new position. Then, that is the only time you can get the benefits of the new position. For the salary of the new/higher position, you will still have to wait for +2 years salary adjustments just to get to the minimum of the next band/level.

      Benefits! Performance bonus. Leaves can be encashed, oh there’s also monthly allowance. Business information is rich and you see your part in creating good change to commumities/areas MWCI serve

      Cons

      Annual increase is lower than cpi. Other perks had been reduced due to opex savings. Highly regulated company (by mwss). If you’re a manager, there’s no OT pay/no hazard pay. And for other fuctions weekends could be demanded from you. Government culture of promoting people (based on tenure). Not very open to change (or improvements). Salary is not transparent per role. Not much trainings
