Pros

The only positive thing about working here is if you’re a field manager you’re off on your own and can kinda do what you want as long as you keep up the status quo of screwing over the vendors that are unfortunate enough to take on working for Marathon.

Cons

The major con is that Marathon makes you the bad guy by forcing you to take advantage of the vendors you have to find that are doing the work for Marathon at an already extremely below market average rate by stringing them along for on average three months with no payment and then offering the vendor a settlement for a very small portion of what they’re owed at which point you have to find a new vendor and start the cycle over

Pros

You have a lot of freedom to do what you want (because they literally have no clue what they need you to do)

Cons

O boy where do I start. Marathon hires you to hire contractors to do work, they then refuse to pay the contractors and then get mad at you when no one is doing work for them anymore. Basically they make you look like a bad guy. They have no clue how to be a real professional company so they just try to screw over smaller companies to make a living. They even lie on reviews on other sites, I mean look at these positive reviews, all sent on the same day. I guess every employee just decided to leave a good review on April 30th huh? Also they have paid employees 50 dollars for every 5 star google review they can get online. This shows how badly Marathon is trying to fool people so they can get more work. Don't fall for this trap and work for people like this, I did for a little bit but luckily got out quickly.

Pros

Not many. Sometimes having the ability to work from home is nice but I think it's only used to retain employees because if they had to come to an office, they'd probably quit.

Cons

The game is to get as many sub contractors to get signed up with the company so when the company decides to stop paying them or refuses to pay the agreed amount, they can just cease communication and move to the next sub. They take advantage of small companies that see dollar signs and don't pay attention/understand the 30 page contract they sign. If you work here, at some point you will be engaging in seriously unethical business practices and potentially illegal, though it may not be apparent at first. Do not believe any positive review about this company. They have given rewards to employees who could get positive reviews online. Chances are, even those people were eventually taken advantage of.
