Pros

None, zero, zilch. Not even the office is nice.

Cons

Okay now I know if you stumble across these reviews, surely you'd be thinking these can't all be true, it cant be that terrible, can it? Honestly they are! This company is utterly terrible, and it all stems from the CEO Melissah Smith. She is an egotistical, arrogant, self obsessed horrible woman, who would rather belittle you, talk badly about you, and make you feel worthless any day of the week. The worst part is she will never change, ever. She is too busy talking about how much money she has, what designer clothes she is wearing today, or which celebrity she has dated, while you're trying to work. She acts like a little girl who needs constant approval from anyone, about how she looks and how amazing she is. I know this sounds so harsh but its honestly the truth. Some of the stuff I heard her say in front of everyone made me want to cry, as she is always trying to sell her self, better herself and put herself on a higher class then anyone else. The other complete joke is how the business operates... she has maybe 4 paid marketers and then 20 uni students who she calls interns. The interns get bossed around, talked to like children and given no guidance. The clients would have a heart attack if they knew that the work they were paying marketing eye to do was being handled by students, who were working full time hours for free. If my business was using marketing eye, i'd be wanting the managers/ceo to be the ones that are actually doing the work. Its a slave mentality that should not be accepted. And no its not work experience, because on work experience you don't get treated badly and get given no support or guidance. You learn in an engaging environment, not be pushed into a corner of the office (literally) and not spoken to unless your getting told you didn't do something or your not doing it right. The problem is that Melissah Smith has done well to get the terrible business to where it is now. And now that she thinks it's up and running, she can sit around all day and be the CEO that literally sits around all day and does nothing except distract the team, talk terribly about other workers, and boss and yell at people unnecessarily. I wish I had have read these reviews before I started because it would have saved me so much trouble. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE think about the reviews before you begin employment with Marketing Eye, because I know I never will work here again.

Pros

Client are generally nice to work with - unfortunately the CEO micromanages everything which takes away from any enjoyment the role may have offered

Cons

- CEO is emotionally unstable and talks about her personal life all day - Equipment provided to staff is inadequate (poor laptop computers) - Unmanageable workloads mean staff are expected to work 5-20 hours of unpaid overtime per week including weekends - CEO bullies staff and interns - Below average salaries - Unprofessional conduct by CEO eg forcing staff to arrive early (unpaid) for teleconferences that she forgets to attend - No petty cash/travel vouchers for staff forced to work late to ensure they reach home safely - CEO online stalking former employees and accusing them of falsifying their work commitments under her on LinkedIn and personal websites - Stressful online time sheet system where every minute of every work day has to be tracked and reported to management (good luck having a toilet break or having to go to the bank)

Pros

My co-workers and deciding to leave

Cons

Look at the number of former employees on LinkedIn not only will you see pages and pages because the turn over is very high but the amount of interns. The founder has interns (unpaid) do a majority of the heavy lifting so she can pay less staff members. Meanwhile, she talks about all the "very expensive" items she owns and has to brag every time she gives a homeless person money. All of the positive reviews come from current employees because she forces interns to write them. She will claim the bad ones are just 'former staff' that left because they were not cut out for it. The real reason is no person is cut out to deal with the type of harassment and ridicule she places on staff. What founder uses their own picture on all social media accounts? Ego maniac that is filled with lies.
