Thank you for your feedback.
It's true, everyone who joins Mavericks is expected to learn many new skills. In school, what you learn is very different from what is needed at work. So it's not surprising that the learning curve is steep to bridge the gap. We offer our Mavericks greater exposure, which means picking up more new skills than other companies.
It's not surprising that you might feel overwhelmed with our expectations in personal growth and delivery quality. In the interview with our CEO, George would have highlighted that your first months at Mavericks will be very intensive and structured training. It will be very overwhelming compared to university learning. You will be assigned mentors to guide you but you will need to be mentally prepared for the challenge. Our mentors will have regular check ins with you on your progress and give you pointers on how you can do better.
We acknowledge your feedback that our onboarding process isn't "appropriate". Feel free to drop us an email to elaborate on how we can improve further. Our team would be happy to receive your suggestions to further evolve our processes!
At Mavericks, we believe strongly in an open feedback culture. You're encouraged to proactively bring up any feedback directly or through other Mavericks. You also have direct access to speak with George at any time on how to improve the company and its operations.
Let's make Mavericks better together!
