Owner is a terrible man!

Pros

The staff and patients are amazing!

Cons

The owner is probably the meanest man I have ever met in my life. He curses at his employee, makes them cry, and degrades them daily. He even told one employee "I hope you die" and "the only thing you do right is show up on time"

Pros

The staff other than the owner Eric Gibbs are incredible. The care the patients receive from the therapists, assistants, and front desk are impeccable despite the threats, cruel comments, and flat out gross unethical practices of Mr. Gibbs. The happy attitude of the front desk girls even with patients comments such as "I wonder how long you'll last", "what happened to [insert last employee]", "he can't seem to keep any good girls here", and the most disturbing one I heard "Don't get too comfortable and be careful, I have seen many nice girls destroyed by him."

Cons

Inappropriate comments, cursing to staff, cruelty for unreasonable expectations not told at the start of employment are just the beginning of the long list of grievances from working at Med Center Therapy. Mr. Gibbs had the front office post false reviews with a "bonus" for every positive review. Salary promised does not equate to anything of value when you calculate the amount of hours you spend there and the treatment you receive. There is no understanding for any emergency, even if you are sick or are in a wreck, expect constant calls as to when you will be returning and the owner will speak falsely of you while you are out, then give you the cold shoulder once you return. The worst thing about Med Center is the owner Eric Gibbs. Never have I ever met someone who believes it is okay to take advantage of the sick and elderly. There is no moral or ethical compass within him and it is horrendous working for him. Knowing all I do now, it seems as though Mr. Gibbs gets enjoyment out of treating the staff horribly, testing to see how far he can push them before they breakdown, and then he will fire them gleefully.

Pros

-The patients are amazing and so genuine -The staff is great, everyone is pretty close

Cons

-The parking for employees is such an inconvenience and truly an issue. -VERY short lunch breaks for all staff and even shorter breaks for the administration/patient relations. Expect maybe 20 minutes on a good day (and you can not leave due to the parking situation). -The turnover rate is truly awful. The staff is constantly changing because they either quit or they are fired by Eric Gibbs the owner over email. I witnessed at the least 6 firings over email because Eric doesn't have the needed maturity to do it in person, its miserably inadequate and pathetic. -Because the turnover rate is so high the office is always short handed due to a sudden loss of a coworker of a new employee in training. -This company is a dictatorship. It is extremely unprofessional because there is absolutely no Human Resources implemented what so ever. For example: 1)Employees will go days without signing a single piece of paperwork 2)You can not put in a complaint about things without your job being on the line because most of the complaints are in regards to Eric the Owner. He is disrespectful and degrading. He is constantly cussing at other employees and threatening that he is going to fire them. As soon as an employee walks out of a room he will say some sort of degrading remark. 3)The owner hates and is intimidated by confrontation. Instead of stepping up and handling an upset patient or employee for example he will literally shut his office door and hide until the situation is deceased. 4)Literally none of the staff respect Eric the owner, creating an unstable and unprofessional atmosphere -Staff will constantly have to stay well after hours to finish tasks that is not only well outside of your job description but tasks that Eric should be doing himself. The tasks do not get done because Eric spends 90% of his day in his office on Facebook, Ebay or Shopping for items that the clinic does not need. He also has a bad habit of leaving at noon for a "quick errand" to not return until the next day even though he has obligations later that day. -There is ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM FOR GROWTH in this company no matter how hard you work. Eric does NOT believe promoting within and is very stingy when it comes to your compensation. Employees do not get raises and the salary is not worth it when you are continually working 55-65 hours a week.
