Pros

MedAire is a company that truly offers its employees a workplace environment where they can contribute ideas to the organization and feel that they are making a difference. Opportunities for advancement and professional growth are abundant and supported by management. Employee recognition, both formal and informal, is a fairly regular occurrence at this office. The people are really what makes this company a great place to work.

Cons

Along with the good fortune of being a busy, successful company, comes the workload needed to support that growth. There is no doubt that employees put in a solid day's work, and usually beyond, to help achieve company goals, sometimes working with systems that lack the agility and efficiency to make short work of what are tediously manual processes--but there is also flexibility to help achieve a work/life balance.

Company in need of shaping and visibility

Pros

-Culture is relaxed -Flexible work hours, if not in call center -Exposure to top level management due to small size of company

Cons

-Full-time benefits are expensive, 1/4 cost at jobs previous to this -Many employees need professional shaping and etiquette. Have a pro career but conduct far below a professional's manner. -Deal with careless, and often, immature behavior from all levels of employees. Need to inject RACI model here. No surprise, if top level maintains poor practice in behavior, it will distribute -Overall sense of dissatisfaction and slowness, belief that nothing will change -Large separation of visibility and ownership between top management and the rest -Little focus on personal or professional growth for employees -Very hard for advancement due to small company size, inclination to hire outside the company -Too much focus on operational tasks -There is a ceiling for capacity of their current business model
