Pros

I made great friends with my co-workers. That is the only pro.

Cons

Let me start by saying I rarely take the time to review previous employers. I wanted to review Medrisk in hopes that at least one person will read this and run the other way. I worked at Medrisk for a year. I read reviews on glassdoor prior to accepting the position and decided to still give it a chance (bad idea). All of the negative reviews are spot on. The positive ones are written my management. Extreme favoritism, gossiping team leads, unfair work conditions. and unprofessional environment. You are constantly being watched by your team lead and the higher-ups. They have an attendance system that is so unfair that I'm not sure if it is legal. If you are sick and call out LESS than 48 hours notice, you will be given 5 points. If you receive 12 points in one year you are fired. How would you know that you are going to wake up sick 2 days before? This also goes for funerals, emergencies, car accidents, they don't care about you or your life. You are expected to sit at your desk all day staring at your computer screen until your eyes hurt and make continuous calls to centers who cant stand you. The providers receive hundreds of calls/faxes a day from Medrisk and they are NOT happy when they answer the phone and hear its Medrisk again. You will be cursed at and hung up on. If you get up to go to the bathroom more than once you will be follow by your team lead and questioned why you are away from your desk. HR is extremely corrupt. They convince you to work there because the pay isn't terrible ($15.50) and they promise benefits and a raise after you are hire as a permanent employee. The problem is, most are never hired as a permanent employee for BS reasons so the company doesn't have to pay you more and give benefits. They have a monthly review with you to review your work called QA. If you score well enough you are promised a bonus, but the company is sure to NEVER let you score well enough to pay you out. You will be constantly put down by the higher-ups. I still have friends who work there and the company is currently going down the drain. They are treating employees worse than ever to make them quit, or they are setting them up to be fired. I have never worked for such a terrible company and I cant believe I wasted a year of my life at Medrisk.

Pros

Great job to see what you don't want in an employer!!

Cons

I hope everyone reading the "good reviews" takes into consideration that the marketing team once in a while will go on here to post positive reviews to make the company look better. Yes this is a fact as I was asked to read some of them before they were posted!!!!

Pros

I have met some very nice people at this company. It may be a decent resume builder for when you inevitably decide to run far away.

Cons

Like a previous review that I saw, I want to state that I have never taken the time to write a bad review for a job. People are entitled to make their own decisions about the job that they are going to take. However, I did want to take the time to share my experience for those who are unsure if this company will be a good fit for them. Medrisk shows very blatant favoritism. The people who have low numbers for their daily quota and low quality work are promoted over those who do twice the amount of work. It is an extremely high pressure, judgmental, and toxic environment. You can see that leads become leads because of who they are friends with and not because they actually know what they're doing. Management makes promises of incentive programs and bonuses and then they take them away when too many people meet the expectations for them. There are no sick days. I was once told by a supervisor to go home because I was sick, and then still accumulated "points" on my record as if I were a student in elementary school. I'm trying to stay objective for people who do want to give this a shot, but the only logical conclusion I can come to is that this company is an absolute mess.
