Not a good place to work

Pros

- They do a good job or PRing themselves externally.

Cons

- Toxic environment, with lots of politics. - CMDs are way, way out of their depth for the responsibilities they have. They lack the people or leaderships skills to effectively manage the teams. Huge micromanaging culture. - SLT have no interest actually listening to their employees. It's a closed off shop, apart from a very few. - HR team are terrible. - The staff seem to be treated as cattle rather than people. The values the agency preaches are not met with the reality of how the company operates. - Lack of real support. Working all hours under the sun is just expected, and isn't appreciated. Results in people highly stressed/anxious, but there's no appetite to change this. - The office culture is dead. The whole vibe of the agency feels very soulless. It's sad to see how many people have Stockholm syndrome within the agency - the irony is a lot of people feel so beaten down or lack confidence from working there, there's anxiety about being able to work somewhere else. It's alarming how many people are in that camp.

Pros

Strong team with talented individuals and good opportunities to learn and develop Regular social events Central London location Opportunity to work with recognised brands

Cons

There is a significant gap between the company’s stated values and how the organisation actually operates in practice Senior leadership culture often feels disconnected from the wider team and lacks consistency in behaviour and decision‑making A heavy focus on profitability frequently overrides investment in people, wellbeing, and long‑term culture A pervasive micromanagement culture limits autonomy and this comes from the top, erodes trust when they are monitoring your office attendance daily and assigning you scores based on "core behaviours" Flexibility is positioned as a benefit, but in reality is inconsistent and often constrained depending on leadership preference

Pros

Lovely people in the team who you can get on with.

Cons

The place has completely lost itself as it’s gotten bigger, you feel expendable and undervalued. Atrocious SLT and HR teams. HR is running the whole show in the background, more than they should. Multiple dramatic layoffs at mid-level throughout the year means junior members have had to step up and fill in gaps in the team without recognition or promotion. New people are hired but are put off by the company and culture, resulting in them leaving within a few weeks and causing additional strain on the team. No effort by SLT to retain staff, they keep making the same mistakes despite the obvious effect this has had on employee motivation and mental health. Lack of resource during busy periods of the year means intense stress and lack of support as you’re expected to get on with it. Multiple people have been laid off after coming back from mental health leave. Excessive focus on timesheets and office attendance. You get pulled up on this a lot and it’s exhausting. No flexibility with working hours. Culture has completely disappeared, you don’t feel like hanging around for socials as they feel like a chore.
