The CEO, COO & CFO did not understand the business at all but just wanted a "recurring revenue" stream. The 3 people at the top paid themselves close to a million dollars a year while the company was only generating $4-5 million a year. This company was banned from selling stock in a few states due to their shady dealings. The CEO hired people and laid them off a few weeks later. The CEO was in the office about 2-4 hours a day and the COO showed up once or twice a week. It was a "house of cards" that was going to fall down under the heavy weight of the top 3 salaries. I believe they realized about $150,000 from the sale of the company after raising more than $40 million selling stock.
