Metricon market themselves as an employer with the slogan ‘love where you work’. They also market themselves as being like a ‘family’ and having ‘great career progression opportunities’. However all I gained from working for this company has been burnout, stress and loss of confidence. If you’re looking for a job that requires unpaid overtime, no lunch breaks, no work/life balance, favouritism being the only prerequisite for a promotion or no appreciation for your continued efforts well then this is the place for you. The culture here is so toxic, there is no support, talk badly about coworkers openly in the office, management don’t listen to employees concerns or ideas. Expect to be reprimanded for any human error. which is occurring due to insufficient training in the first place. Enjoy using outdated technology that looks like windows 98, despite them promising revolutionary software which never has been delivered. Their priority is to pump as many customers through the door as possible, so expect to drown in work and be micromanaged wanting updates on each jobs status every 5 minutes. This job will take every piece of you, chew it up and spit you out.
