Pros

- Depending on the project, tasks can be very interesting - Office location - Monthly flat-rate expenses (only in Zurich) - You get a smartphone

Cons

- Last month, employees were laid off - Miserable supervisor behavior at the partner level - Middle management and up can be described as toxic and backstabbing - Headquarters has been trying to eliminate the flat-rate expenses for some time now - The smartphone you get is an IPhone SE

Pros

Fun and energetic junior and mid-level teams.

Cons

The place is actually a family-run business that is disguised as a multi cultural conglomerate. The board is full of old white men who you will never meet or hear from. Zero transparency or visibility. Company culture is horrible and that starts from the top. The HR head of the company is frivolous and obnoxious, and that reflects in their hires, policies, and values. The senior partners and partners run around like headless chickens with little to no power to make real decisions. Over time, this drains their energy, enthusiasm, and confidence. This shows in their work. There’s a solid communication gap between the partner team and mid-management. What that leads to is Chinese whispers, lack of clarity, and time and energy wastage. They don’t invest in infrastructure, training, or well-being of the employees. The only investment they make - like campuses - are actually for the clients and businesses. There’s no real scope of growth because you will be micro managed, through and through. Micro-managed by people who in all honesty have very less experience, achievements, or expertise. Because they don’t have budget for hires, you’ll end up doing three people’s work. You will spend your weekends dreading Mondays and you will spend your week days yearning for the weekends. It’s not fun, and because it’s not fun, you will not feel good about yourself. That’s the real loss of life.

Horrible Company

Pros

Glassdoor requires 5 words minimum, otherwise I would have put N/A

Cons

Horrible toxic wannabe corporate culture, while the company barely holds any market share, they make themselves out to be the McKinsey of the world. The working hours and the workload are the same as in any consulting company, except the pay is a joke for the amount of cr*p you will have to put up with. The people are entitled and condescending for no reason, everybody takes immense pride in being a slave with no career prospects, and looks down on you for having workplace boundaries. All the decent people have left or want to leave the company, the turnover rate is insane, and no wonder. If you work there, expect to take on 5 times your responsibilities and fix everybody's mistakes. The chain of command and team organisation is completely terrible, so you will spend your weekends doing the work that could have been done in a timely and efficient manner (something unheard of in this company). Don't expect any professional growth because instead of being provided learning opportunities, you will be patronised and humiliated by petty analysts. Still unsure about the exact function of HR in the company, they either intentionally promote this horrible culture, or are completely oblivious about what's going on.
