No boundaries between school and staff, no willing to work with staff or hear complaints, nepotism and homophobia, lying to staff about problems being fixed and getting hopes up just to make excuses. People either work here forever and are loyal to Meysen to a blinding fault (excusing everything), or they give up and leave early. Makes it hard for the staff who stick around to pick up the pieces. There needs to be a true overhaul but it will likely never happen since everyone smiles and acts like it's fine. Going back to the nepotism... the culture is defined by the family. As long as there are plenty of family members willing to do back breaking work, the culture won't change. Everyone knows the family that runs the school is a cult--literally we would joke about it--but act like its no big deal. Also, on a practical level, working here is a dead end in your career unless you plan on working here forever.
