Pros

Your coworkers. That's it. The people stuck in the trenches with you are genuinely lovely humans doing their best in an impossible situation. Don't let that fool you into staying.

Cons

This is not a place where you will grow, it is a place where you will burn out trying to hold together something that was never properly built. No direction, no structure, no onboarding, no processes. The gap between what you're hired to do and what you're actually expected to do is enormous. You'll be working long hours and weekends as a stated baseline expectation. Broken in-house AI tools embarrass you in front of clients, the client base is shrinking, and the financial outlook is not promising. Morale is on the floor because nobody feels safe.

Pros

Mighty Joy is a really fun place to work with great clients and projects. There’s a lot of autonomy, and I feel trusted to take ownership of my work. It’s definitely busy, but the pace is exciting and keeps things engaging. The teamwork here is excellent—everyone collaborates and supports each other, and leadership really listens to what we have to say. I appreciate being included in processes and procedures, which makes me feel valued. Plus, the flexibility of remote work is a huge benefit. Overall, Mighty Joy is an awesome startup with tons of potential for growth, and I’m glad to be part of it.

Cons

Growing pains like every startup but we always work through them.
